Just another morning.

There is beauty in the dawn but also knowledge. The PONs have an all shall be well certainty that the sun will rise, the wind will blow, croissants will be baked. Tomorrow is never promised but today is going to be the best day ever. They are going to enjoy it. Sophie watches the sky brighten. Her brother hurtles down the lane. He has donkeys and a goat to greet and a village to patrol.

Bob and Angus sit on the storm drain. So much to talk about today. The Catalan referendum. The Congress of the Chinese Communist Party. OJ out of prison. 'Time wasting' Rex Tillerson. Bob sighs, has his hair tousled and is told , as he's told every morning, that this is his country. Sophie has little time for reflecting on world affairs. She's found a wind dried vole in the walnut grove. She appears with this clasped firmly in her jaws. Her eyes speak volumes. This is the best day ever.

The usual routine. The late running school secretary. The even later running woman with six year old and five year old boys having their hair brushed as she multi-tasks along the road. The young garagiste on his motorbike. The farmer in the green Toyota with the Westie that does comical back flips of fury when it sees the PONs. The young builder in the souped up Citroen that makes a throaty gurgle as it accelerates out of the village. All, bar the multitasking woman, wave.

Just another - beautiful - Monday morning in deepest, deepest France profonde with two happy sheepdogs.

Not a lot of rays of hope in your discussion topics. Let's hope Bob comes up with some solutions, since nobody else has.

Oh yes, Bob, the whole situation close by you is sigh-worthy; bless you for PONdering it... but now get on and have the best day ever. Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

Having seen the beautiful wild wolves in Yellowstone National Park it has improved the ecology. Seeing them with their young pups, very protective. However, the "deer" in the video are grand Roosevelt Elk, 4 times larger than any of our species of deer. 😊

Another busy start to Bob's morning and a best day ever to follow. Sophie isn't doing too badly either - wind dried vole - oh yummy !

"Time wasting".
Make it stop.
Days when it's beneficial to live with a dog.

Can we sit on the storm drain with you and Bob? In serious need of some serious calm.
Sun-dried vole, possibly a new menu sensation?
